Gee, look what I found!

Hi all,

I read the message today on the loop about the updated members' list online and wow! Look at our cool website. I signed up immediately for the forums so I could come and chat with you. I hope I'll be able to check in on a regular basis. I'm in the process of editing my current novel and am in the plotting phases of the next one.

Oh, right. I forgot to introduce myself. Sorry. I'm Vicki M. Taylor. I write women's fiction. And, I'm a founding member of FWA and a past president. I was also past  Vice President, past Regional Director, past magazine editor, and past bottle washer.  Well, you know what I mean. Back when we first started FWA we all wore a lot of hats. FWA has come a long way since we started out with six members. I applaud all of you for making FWA the great organization it is.

Hmm. What else? I live in Tampa with my husband and my dog, Jack, and my parrot, Bailey.  My three children are grown and I have one grandson who will be a year old in October and one grandbaby on the way. Woo-hoo!!

Hi Viki and Welcome to the forums!

You're a celebrity in the FWA - you must be so proud to see what it has become. WIth more than 850 members, it's a huge gathering of like-minded artists and authors. I love being a part of it, and I love being able to have my skills apply to it. Who else is a founding member???

Thanks for the welcome.

Oh boy, there were five other founding members. The names are listed in the FWA magazine. I'm drawing a total blank. I think Weslynn McCallister. Jennifer Currington. Oh darn. Can I blame menopause? Check your recent FWA magazine. They're listed where the officer names and such are listed.

Vicky:  It is good to see you.  I attended the conference three years ago.  A lot has changes since then.  I have married my Russian sweetheart, which is a published poet ,and will be soon moving to St Petersburg.  Wheni I get there, I hope to be a full time writer.  I will be at the conference this year and hope to see you then.
